2013 NDAA Amendments/Changes are Smoke and Mirrors

This news needs to get out to all patriots ASAP, as the Senate is voting on the 2013 NDAA this week. There has been a lot of talk on recent Amendments to the 2013 NDAA. None of them will save our rights, and none of them are even a step in the right direction.

Please disseminate the attached legal reviews of all three changes that purportedly stop the NDAA, and why they do not and will not.

It's crucial we get this information out so "We the People" are not tricked again.

Rand Paul's 2013 NDAA Amendment

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul has introduced an amendment to the NDAA…and it does nothing to protect our inalienable rights. We would suggest that Sen. Paul use the Smith-Amash amendment introuduced earlier this year, and we are more than willing to work with the good Senator and his office.

PANDA however, will not support an amendment that does nothing to protect our rights.

Our official position is below:

Judge Grants Restraining Order Over Houston School's RFID Policy

Students in Bexar County, Texas are being forced to wear RFID Tracking enabled ID's to school. But one student isn't having it.

Andrea Hernandez won't wear the chip-embedded name badge, and now, in a win for liberty, a District Court Judge has temporarily blocked Northside Independent School District from removing her from John Jay High School’s Science and Engineering Academy for refusing to wear the tag:

Local Police Used to Set Up "Surveillance Buffer Zones" under DHS

"When contacted by The New Americanthe DHS representative in New Jersey refused to answer these questions, saying that revealing what information is being collected, how long it will be stored, or who will have access to it would threaten national security. Of course."

U.S. Pressing Indefinite Detention on Afghans

The NDAA was too good for just the United States. The U.S. continues to push indefinite detention without charge or trial in Afghanistan:

Feinstein Moves to Ban Assault Rifles

Dianne Feinstein is moving to ban Assault Rifles across the U.S. Remember what Britain looked like when the populace turned in their guns. When we give up our right to self defense and have the same weapons the government does, tyranny can win:

EO Brings Government Departments Under DHS's Watchful Eye

An Executive Order signed about a week ago creates a Homeland Security working group with the heads of various government agencies involved. Easily bringing all government agencies under the advice of our wonderful department of Homeland Security:

National Guard to Police Texas Formula-1 Race

Posse Comitatus? What's that?

American troops are being used for crowd control more than ever, and now they're being used to "assist police" at the Formula-1 race outside of Austin, Texas. First, it's advising police. Now , it's assisting them. Next, they will BE the police.

Wake up.

Fort Lauderdale, FL Purchases "Peacemaker"

This vehicle should be renamed the intimidator. Of special note is the quote from the Fort Lauderdale, FL Police Chief:

"As for any discomfort citizens may feel about being recorded, Mandell said,

'People are filmed on the street every day by businesses and others and don’t even know about it. Our agency is letting them know it’s happening and we are not trying to hide the fact that an area is under surveillance.'"

In other words: "We know spying without a warrant is wrong but hey, everyone else is doing it. And at least we're telling you:
